First Time Filmmaker – Lessons Learned

Making the Feature Film “The Keyman” It’s been 17 years.  20 if you count the birth of the script—which was in the summer of 1997.  I worked in corporate and commercial videography and always dreamed of being a filmmaker.  The idea for the movie “The Keyman”  came to me in the parking lot of a grocery store.  It was a huge “what if” question to something that had just happened to me.  We shot the film in September of 2000, and released it in 2002. “The Consequences” shoots in Amarillo

The shooting for the short film “The Consequences” has wrapped in Amarillo, Texas.  The film follows an older oil field man, Hank, played by Mark Nutter and his best friend Jerry, played by Jack Watkins. Kerry Livgren – Musician of Faith

During the shooting of “The Imposter,” I had the unique privilege to spend some time with musician Kerry Livgren.  And for those of you who don’t know who this is– Kerry was a key member of the super group Kansas with such hits as Carry On Wayward Son and Dust in the Wind.  During his time with Kansas, he got saved.  The video below is the interview I did with him about his experience.
